ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (OJT) and WEDnetPA PROGRAM OUTLINES

OJT

  1. There are two options for employers and jobseekers
    • One covers eligible young adults ages 16-24
    • One covers eligible adults and dislocated workers
  1. Young Adults
    • Must be eligible for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act services
    • Must be full time positions at least 30 hours per week
    • Must be a High Priority Occupation (HPO) or one that is on a career ladder to a HPO.
    • Must pay a minimum of $10.00 per hour
  1. Adults and Dislocated Workers
    • Must be eligible for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act services
    • Must be full time positions at least 30 hours per week
    • Must be a High Priority Occupation (HPO) or one that is on a career ladder to a HPO.
    • Must pay a minimum of $13.80 per hour. The regions’ current family sustaining wage
  1. Employer Information
    • Must have a permanent location in Pennsylvania
    • Must have a contract/master agreement with the PA Careerlinks prior to the OJT start
    • Participants are full time employees of the company
    • Must develop a training plan for the participant
    • Reimbursement is based on the number of employees in the company
      • 1-50 employees = 75%
      • 51-150 employees = 60%
      • More than 150 = 50%

  4. $450-$850 per employee annually depending on the training category.
  5. Online application and fiscal management
  6. Employer must be in PA. No retail, gaming, training vendors, employment agencies, government, government-owned, education and non-profits are not eligible.
