• PA Industrial Development Authority low interest loans
• Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund
• PA Economic Development Financing Authority - tax-exempt and taxable bonds
• Small Business Administration loans and loan guarantees
• Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development loan programs

Property and Real Estate

• Maintaining a full database of available commercial and industrial sites including many turn-key facilities
• Working with county and municipality officials to improve infrastructure in Bedford County

Business inquiries, business retention, and entrepreneurial development

• BCDA acts as the primary point of contact for industrial prospects
• Working with county industries and businesses in a wide variety of ways to help them grow and prosper
• Acting as a sounding board and facilitator for business start-ups and as a liaison with the St. Francis Small Business Development Center
• Recently established Entrepreneurial Development Center in the Bedford County Business Center

Technology Transfer

• Assisting businesses and industry to improve productivity through partnerships with such agencies as Penn State University's Materials Research Center and Applied Research Laboratory, Industrial Resource Centers, and the Ben Franklin Technology Center
• Providing regional specialists who visit businesses and industry to assess their needs and assist with incorporating new ideas.

Workforce Development

• Maintaining a close relationship with local colleges such as Allegany College's Technical Institute, Penn State University, and area school districts
• Assisting business and industry with application for training grants
• Acting as a facilitator and liaison between educational institutions and business / industry in career-readiness programs such as BASICS, Junior Achievement, and Technical Center curriculum.
