The Dalesmen are currently in the design phase of the Dalesmen Distillery & Brewery, and hope to commence construction on the building in late 2019, with a projected opening date of early autumn 2020. The plan for the new facility, located at 141 East Pitt Street in Historic Downtown Bedford, includes a large tap room, patio seating along Richard Street, and event space. Along with the brewery and distillery operation, Chef Nick Letzo will offer an exciting new dining experience.
Co-founder Mike Wood notes “With the addition of Sara and Nick and the establishment of Dalesmen Ventures, this is just one more example of wind in our sails propelling the vision forward. We feel very strongly about the success of the company and we can see Sara and Nick share the same ambitions.”
“We were always hoping to find the perfect way to pair a great food operation with our plan for craft beer and small-batch spirits. When Nick and Sara approached us about a joint venture, it just clicked; we knew we had found the perfect partners,” says co-founder Nate Haupt.
Asked about their choice of Bedford, PA as the location for their new business co-founder Derek Dowler responded “What started as a dream of a small craft distillery has turned into an amazing partnership offering a full-service experience to the residents and visitors of Bedford County, and adding to the already rich history the area offers. We can’t imagine a more perfect location for this new venture.”
“We have learned so much over the last six years at 10/09 kitchen, and more recently at Nick’s Sandwich Company. I am really looking forward to taking the best parts of our current operation and expanding on them to offer the town of Bedford a new dining experience” says Executive Chef Nick Letzo.
