"We have set a new goal," said Mike Beaupre, vice president of operations for Bedford Reinforced Plastics. "Our plan is to triple our business in the next three to five years. And we believe we will do it."

The company was named to Inc. Magazine's Top 5000 companies across the United States, measured by the growth the company has experienced over the past few years. Between 2004 and 2007 the firm grew by $16.5 million to $43.0 million. The company currently employs 240 and is looking to hire more salespeople for 2009, according to Beaupre.

"The growth we have experienced was generated by our focus on five strategic markets," Beaupre explained. "We added capacity, set our goals, targeted the markets we wanted to expand and growth came. The added capacity gave our salesmen the confidence to know we could deliver on any promises made to customers. Guaranteed deliveries and reliability are important. We guaranteed every order, every shipment date, and reduced prices when we were late."

At the end of 2008 BRP began using its new "green" wrapping machine. "It's a gigantic circle that shrink-wraps an entire palette in three minutes," said Beaupre. "It allows us to put 40,000 pounds of product on a truck instead of 25,000 or so."
