Mission Critical Solutions launches Mid-Penn Waterjet
Company offers high technology cutting service
Mid-Penn Waterjet opened for business in mid February of 2010. The company’s team brings more than 30 years of research and development services and water jet cutting experience to the market.
Bob McGowan of Mission Critical Solutions is confident that the new company will succeed despite being created during a national recession.
“We expect Mid-Penn Waterjet to have a very successful year,” he said. “Our work will be coming from the defense arena as well as the commercial nuclear arena.
McGowan believes the company will grow based on the quality of the workmanship it offers and the dedication of its employees.
“Our people make the difference,” he said. “We can reduce overall machining time and cost by the quality of our work.”
Mid-Penn Waterjet, located in Alum Bank, will help save material costs by nesting, the process of maximizing the number of parts cut from each piece of material.
The company’s technology will allow it to cut alloys that are titanium-based, iron-based, molybdenum-based, cobalt-based, copper based, nickel based and tungsten-based. It can also cut ceramic and rubber products, composites, plastics, glass, vinyl and more.
“Our waterjet eliminates dangerous solvent use,” said McGowan. “And it can cut material from micro-thin to 15 inch titanium. We are ISO 9000 compliant.”
McGowan has a strong vision for the company’s future in Bedford County.
“We want to grow our business and employ as many people from the community as possible,” he stated. “And we plan to give to the community through our employees and become a bigger contributor to local organizations and the Bedford County economy.
We give to local organizations and hope that our employees take active roles in these organizations. We encourage our employees to make a difference in the communities they live in.”
