The Bedford County Technical Center (BCTC) Produces A Video Promoting The Life Science Programs Offered at the Tech Center

Everett, PA – The Bedford County Technical Center recently produced a new promotional video showcasing Life Sciences programs available at BCTC.  The video’s “Premiere” was held on April 20 with program speakers representing the business and educational communities.   The video was also presented at the May 8 Bedford County Commissioners’ meeting.

The six-minute video features students, teachers and employers discussing a broad spectrum of job opportunities available with a foundation in life sciences.  It also showcases the programs offered at BCTC related to the Life Sciences including Agri-science, Bio-technology, and Health Assistance.

The Tech Center worked with the Bedford County Development Association to highlight partnerships that exist between the school and local businesses.  Interviews discuss career opportunities with representatives from UPMC, Pennknoll Village, the Bedford County Conservation District, Sheetz Food Safety, Veterinary Medical Center and Lampire Biological Laboratories.

According to Mark Bollman, Administrative Director at the BCTC, “We are extremely grateful for the efforts of BCDA and so many businesses who participated in this project. We will use the video to promote the programs at our school for many years to come.”

Pennsylvania is considered a leader in the life sciences with 2,300 life science companies and over 77,000 peopled employed in the industry.
